The important event dedicated to oncology in Africa
The 15th AORTIC International Conference on Cancer in Africa, organized by the African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC), is currently underway in Hammamet, Tunisia. The event, which takes place from 2 to 5 November 2025, represents the most important African scientific event dedicated to oncology and brings together health professionals, researchers, policymakers and global stakeholders committed to promoting equity in cancer care through research and education.

Today, November 3, 2025, Matteo Botteghi, President of Pathoxphere, gave a speech dedicated to the Urine24 model, an innovative approach for early screening of urinary tract cancers.
The Urine24 model is based on advanced diagnostic technologies that aim to make cancer diagnosis more accessible, timely and equitable, particularly in resource-limited settings. The presentation aroused interest among the international scientific community for its potential impact on the prevention and early diagnosis of urothelial neoplasms.
A path of strategic collaboration with AORTIC and APOF
Matteo Botteghi’s participation in the AORTIC Conference is the result of a long collaboration that Pathoxphere has developed with AORTIC and APOF, an association committed to strengthening training and access to diagnosis in African countries.
This synergy has made it possible to build solid relationships and shared projects, paving the way for new research and development initiatives in the fields of telepathology and sustainable health innovation.

Pathoxphere, innovation at the service of diagnostic equity
The AORTIC Conference 2025 represents an important incubator of contacts and collaborations with institutions, research bodies and international healthcare organizations for Pathoxphere. The organization’s presence at the conference confirms its growing role in the cutting-edge cancer diagnostics landscape and its commitment to advancing accessible and sustainable solutions globally.
Through projects such as Urine24 and the implementation of telepathology solutions dedicated to low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), Pathoxphere continues to develop innovative diagnostic models that combine technology, training and social impact, concretely contributing to the construction of a future in which early cancer diagnosis is a universal right.
